Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is the way of treatment that includes small amounts of substances (vitamins, homeopathic preparations, medicine) injected into and under the skin by using a needle. The initiator of Mesotherapy is a french doctor Michael Pistor, who began practising the procedure in 1958. This technique is applied in Rheumatology, Traumatology, alleviation of vascular diseases and pain.  Recently, Mesotherapic procedures intended for aesthetic dermatology - facial skin rejuvenation, cellulite and wrinkles treatment - have become popular as in Europe, so in USA.  Mesotherapy may be applied for various diseases and conditions to treat. The cycle may be repeated every 6-12 months. Various products and their mixtures are used during the procedure. Their constituion is various as well and depends on a condition that has to be cured and the doctor‘s experience. Usually the mixtures of various medicaments, vitamins, antioxidants, mineral and vegetative substances are used.

There are conditions and diseases that are not recommended to treat with Mesotherapy. Such conditions are pregnancy, diabetes that is dependant on insulin (1 type ), the usage of medicine thinning blood ( warfarin, aspirin, heparin and others ), having an increased blood coagilation and the probability of tromboembolia, patient has had an oncologic disease or myocardial infarction, insult, having an allergy to substances or preparations that are used.
